as promised, here is a pic of my meiracyllium. it is wendlandii x Trigem.
(Trigem is trinasutum x wendlandii which is hardly surprising since there are only two species in this genus). there is some darker spots on the other sid of the petals which you can't see here.
oh and Gin....i lied. only the oldest leaf has a pink tinge.
the container it's in is a 250mL plastic chip dip container. In the second pic you can see a new leaf starting. it had three flowers, but one blasted when i overwatered the other night (ok ok i got excited. hehe). i also apologize for the blurriness, but hey...these things are TINY...

what a little sweetie!
i love that heart shaped lip,
so cute.
nice growing, auntymo.
well i can't really take credit for the blooms since it was in spike when i picked it up.
my plant is a divison of another plant and it's a straight section about as long as the chip dip container. (about 6"? am too lazy to get out the measuring tape). it seems very happy in the white sparkly rocks to which it has attached very solidly. i think i will mount mine at some point in the future since it's almost growing out of the container as it is.
as for what it likes....i've read every sort of condition you can name...from shade to med-high sun, from cool to warm temps. so who knows? it is native to mexico and guatemala. so i vote we all go on a trip down there and check it out in it's native habitat, then we'll have a better idea. hehe
the baker's have a culture sheet for meiracyllium, but it's not one of the freebies.
