    Of course, technically , this is a vanda - well vandaceous at least, but I put it here since it so far removed from all the other vandas, except perhaps one section of what used to be Ascocentrum.
    Small flowers, maybe 5mm E-W and just over 1 cm N-S because of that spur/nectary or whatever it is.
    Regularly double spikes in July/August, and I see that there are old spikes in every leaf axil, which means it has taken the whole year to make a single pair of leaves.

    But the plant is clearly growing much bigger than it was, and faster too - whereas in previous years there were three immature leaves above the flowers, this year there are 5 or 6 and the exciting thing is the emergence of a couple of new shoots. How long they will take to reach flowering size I do not know, but , fingers crossed, it is on the way to being a bit more exceptional.
