Now that is an interesting one. I love the group of little buds hanging there. Too pretty.

Cycnoches barthiorum
I could hardly wait for the flowers to open, on this Cycnoches first time to flower for me, I have had this Cycnoches for a year, I saw my first flowers on a trip to Maui last fall, and that was it I had to have one. So I constrained myself and I got only one, to make sure this orchid would grow ok in my home.
When I see that this plant was going to flower I did a happy dance, good thing know one was around ha… each day I would run out first thing in the morning to see how much the spike had grown and if the buds were getting fatter..
I was so excited the other day when at last the buds popped open and this lovely Swan blossom.
If anyone stops in to see us they are quickly rushed out to the patio to see the flowers on my Cycnoches.
And as we all know orchids are addictive and I now have 5 Cycnoches and one Catasetum.
And you can be assured that when these new ones flower I will be doing that happy dance again.
Now that is an interesting one. I love the group of little buds hanging there. Too pretty.

I just got a Cycnoches about two months ago. It is growing well. I sure hope it gets big enough to bloom soon!
Yours are lovely, Laura!
Cheers,
