Do you know if your plant is a regular polyploid, and not an aneuploid?
I don't know. I read somewhere that because the breeders wanted a white lip, the had to line breed the plants, so a couple plants ended up as near pentaploids.
Diane, the flasker, if he wasn't the breeder, should be able to find out for you.
