Smile Paph glaucophyllum 'Hung Sheng' BM/TPS x sib 'Bear' In Bloom

This is a first time bloomer that I have had for 15 months. It was a single growth when I bought it. Now 3 fans. A sequential bloomer. This one looks very much like Paph liemianum. But seems to be a smaller sized bloom. In a 2 inch pot with bark.

Great flower on a happy plant. Should be spectacular when it matures!

Since it is already a multi-growth plant it should have the strength to bloom sequentially on that spike for many months, perhaps even years. Flower size will increase somewhat as the plant matures. But that pot is going to be too small to sustain it for much longer. If it was my plant I would be planning to move up to a 3.5" or even 4" pot, the sooner the better, anytime there is active root growth. At worst I would expect it to drop one bud and resume flowering the next month, but the point is with a full sequential flowering Paph you often can't wait to repot until it stops flowering, but there really is no need to wait. It won't mind much.

Thanks Kirk. I took your advice and moved it to a 4 inch plastic pot.
