I am normally not one to take spike pics to post but I am really excited about this one. The spike must have grown 3 inches this week.

Waiting anxiously!
was eagerly anticipating my rex x mont millais a few years back. that cross never disappoints, and will sometimes just floor ya!
I am very excited to see this one...and if nice, then decide what to do with the pollen. Jason, it that yours in your avatar?
In the pic you took, Ron, the spike looks like an unusual bromeliad

Congrats, that's fantastic! In this instance a dance is very appropriate for a rothaholic
I hope that one days I would be doing roth summersaults.
Love the stripes!
yes, it was my first and only roth I bloomed to date. in actuality just average for the cross, but nice color and decent form. slow growing so I won't see its potential until (if?) I get a greenhouse, but I think the new growth is on pace to bloom in 2010? lol.
if you feel like making a cross, I have a well-colored wilhelminiae and an average but vigorous philippinense in bloom...and some long-petalled phrag pollen in the fridge if you want to try for the elusive phragmipaphium, lol!
