In fact, it is a giant gigantea, the largest Phal. gigantea I have ever seen. It have 17 or 18 leaves. The most amazing thing is that he grow this gigantea on his roof without any equipment! I took this photo on April of 2003, and it become larger now!

This has put me over the edge...I had been trying to resist the urge to buy a Phal. gigantea...What a show of flowers!
Such a healthy and pretty plant on the roof? Wow, it must be tough! lol, never thought of growing phals up there before.

I really like how it's mounted too, with the spike allowed to hang down naturally. That looks great, Chian! Tell your friend that they did a wonderful job--we should all have roofs that can grow plants like that!

some people just have the knack or get lucky. I have been growing one for a year and it bloomed for me with nine flowers I'll take it. I left the spike in hopes it will rebloom
