Could your maculosum be called 'Aed. crispum'. Aed.crispum has all the qualities of your posted maculosum. Large plant, long leathery leaf, and branches spike. The only other specie that brach its spike is Aed. multiflora. but multiflora has much smaller pointy lip like a kite while Aed. crispum has large saddle shaped lip. Unless both are the same species with synomus name.
Aed. rosea that i have has plant growth that is very similar to Rhy. colestics and densely spotted with purple spots. Plant size is no larger than Rhy. coelestics, where my multiflora has leaf that a lot longer and has very short stubby growth. The leaf is also different, with rosea having thinner coelestis like "V" leaf, and multiflora has very big fat leathery leaf.
