Everytime I see an orchid plant from a grower wherever they are in Vietnam I am shocked to see the lush and strong growth and flowering of the plant(s). They seem to be so happy and doing so well. What is it with the climate over there that makes it so enjoyable for orchid plants to grow? Has any of you over there taken some readings like as in temperature? Light intensity and length? ... at various times of the day? How about rain and humidity including air/wind strengths if any at all?
I mean here in the Philippines our climate is very tropical and should be very conducive but nowadays the climate here has gone haywire - where either it is too much of rain (and I do mean plenty of it - encouraging rot) or nowadays it is ZERO rain and so much sunlight and HEAT ... which isn't very favorable to the orchid plants.
Wow, what a gigantic phal! And look at all those roots (and leaves)! Fantastic growing.
Looks like a Phalaenopsis aphrodite to me... I do have this one long time ago but it gone rotten because of long drought.
