    Default Bulbophyllum Crownpoint 'Algonquin' AM/AOS

I got this last year and this is the first time blooming. I had no clue it was even in spike much less with 2 spikes until I was fertilizing today and notice them.

I'd like to try a few Bulbo's but all the one's I've seen are rampant growers. This one looks fairly passive. Great flowers Jack!

Is this as much as the flower opens? I have that one bulbo, the bicolor, I mentioned in another one of your bulbo posts. I mounted it a few months ago and put it in my terrarium. I produced a spike with four buds. I was waiting for them to open, then one by one they dried up. One is still left but it looks like it's on its way out now this morning. It never opened up the way the photos of them show. Maybe that was all it was supposed to do. If so it's taking up too much room.

Thanks Chris! You can keep them under control as you can always cut new divisions off of them and either sell them or keep them, me I let them all grow.

Thanks Karin! To tell you the truth I was wondering the same thing when I was taking pictures, if it opens more I will take another picture, if it doesn't that is fine by me, something different then the norm!

Thanks Harvey! That is what is so great when they open the first time I had no clue what it was going to look like as I could not find any photo online and the color was good to see!
