Well that is just lovely Jack! After seeing the bulbs, I thought it must be related to Cycnodes. So did a little reading and did see they're in the same family. Very pretty flowers!

Never fails to bloom each year, this has been in winter rest with no water or fertilizer since November and before I noticed the first spike. The person I got this from and who hybridized this one lives in California, we always wonder why mine blooms this time of year and his will not bloom until March or April.

For the record, the name is “Rebecca Northen” with one “r”. She wrote what is probably the most-encompassing “bible” on orchid growing.
