    Default Cheap Orchid Stand

I've just purchased this stand and thought I'd let you guys know. It was only $20 from the yellow and blue DIY box store. I'm in love with it it's definately worth the cash.

heheh... I was just thinking the same thing. Looks like it is time to go orchid shopping now, Richard. So many orchids out there without good homes and you have so much new, inviting space. hehehe...

    Cheers,

I have about 10 cattleyas that are still away from all the others since I got them on Feb 1, 2008 so they are still about a month away (2 month quarantine) from joining the stand. The dinner table that's showing on the bottom right of the picture is about 75% full with orchids too, plus I think the wife will tell me something else when I purchase more 'chids after I just bought the 10 last month. Thanks for the suggestions though

Ron it's the scandinavian yellow and blue DIY box store. I don't think they have the L & s one in Canada so I figured the I & a one was the only yellow and blue.
Edit: they do have the L & s it's just not close to where I live so I've never been there.

I got one just like that. But mine was wobbling and the shelves kept popping up when I took orchids off. Which ended up with some other orchids falling on the floor . I guess I just got a bad unit. I found a better one at a box store and its very solid and has a lots of space for more orchids. I will post pics of both units for comparison.

I was thinking about that one too. The wife, however, thought it was too big for our apartment.

PS I'm sure having the shredder right next to the plants has scared some of them in to performing above standard!!

    Thumbs up

The ones on the right are available on-line as well. The 4 foot wide size works great with the 4 foot T8 or T12 flourescent shop lights. They hook on the shelf above and you can adjust chain length to accommodate different plant height.
