Thanks guys, glad you like it. It's still opening so the petals will probably get a little longer and should twist more. I'll post an updated picture when all the flowers are fully opened.
I think these are supposed to be quite easy to bloom. I give it high, almost Cattleya level light and it also got a cooler, drier 6-8 week long spell early in the late autum/early winter. I noticed the spike about 5 weeks ago, a few weeks after I resumed the watering.
So do I. Now. A year ago I still insisted that slippers did nothing for me. Then I bought a couple at the show and now I think I have more slippers than any other orchids
I like multis the best and they seem to like me. I'm almost certain that my Hsinying Franz is in spike and possibly my St. Swithin too
