Default Can you ID this new beauty?

I found this beautiful healthy plant Saturday at my local supermarket. It has a lot of new growth and 2 spikes. It was marked Intergeneric Odontoglossum Oncidium. However, when I researched it on the net I found that it looks more like a Brassi. The bulbs and foliage look like my Miltonia Oncidium Intergeneric. I want to know how to care for it.

Good guess! It looks to me like a Miltassia (Mtssa) Shelob. That would be a Milt x Brassia. Nice flowers!

A Shelop ==> 'Tolkien' or 'Everglades'. I have always love this hybrid since I can't grow any Miltonias. Beautifull blooms. For more info, go tho this link: http://www.rv-orchidworks.com/orchid...?t=1788&page=2

I purchase one of these yesterday. Not in bloom yet. Any idea why the tag would say MTSSA. SHELOB 'THE WEED'? I have looked up 'THE WEED' everywhere I could find, including books, and no ref. to 'THE WEED'.

'The Weed' is just a cultivar name of a seed grown cross.

Shelob the spider in LOTR... Hehe...

That orchid is just gorgeous. It's going on my wish list... (which is becoming my 'when I get a green house / buy a house list')

    Figures...

I'd rather have the plant Shelob in my living room than the actual Shelob. But then again I'd probably prefer Tolkien over the plant.
