Default why is my dend nobile making keikis?

What did I do to it?? It's covered (I mean covered, and there's about 5 or 6 mature canes) in keikis, which I originally thought were buds. I hadn't really looked at it in a while but today, I saw the beginnings of roots on some of the "buds" so I finally realized what was going on.

Should I leave them indefinitely (is this bad, or will it make a huge plant?), or pot them up when the roots are a little longer? Anyone want some? There's plenty to be had; it's a pretty noid, white with pink and a touch of green if I remember correctly.

    How did this happen?

How long have you had this plant? I would leave them on until the roots are long enough to be potted up. Then you will have 5 or 6 of your fav plant! I don't know, maybe this is normal for nobile types? I don't really know, I haven't dealt with nobile type, but I might be interested in one of your keikis when they are ready.

I've had it a little over a year. It had just a few blooms a couple of months ago; I think it got too much sun and burned a few potential buds. Then, this new growth started, so I thought it was just more buds. I just counted 8 keikis and there may be more... That is certainly enough to share with your buds (pun intended.)

It has been my experience that Dens that kieki will just keep doing just that. That is not to say they wont bloom as well, but I have one that I take tons of babies off every year.

I have heard that certain conditions can encourage Keikis, but I think the propensity to do so is genetic.
