Default New Oncidium "sweet sugar" with two spikes

I just had to buy it when I saw it last week. I think it is a beautiful Oncidium. The bulbs are a bit shriveled though or is that normal?

Looks perfectly health to me. Older bulbs will shrivel like that. Your newer growth should not look that way, but will often have some texture to their shape. There is nothing wrong with that plant though. Really beautiful.

    Hi BD,
Well the bulbs were a bit less shrivelled when I bought them, but Maybe its because of the humidity level at my house (around 45%)
is a bit lower that at the greenhouse where I bought it.

    Thanks

Does Sharry Baby shrivel like that too. I have what looks like a healthy plant, but the bulbs have always had a bit of texture.

I agree, what a beautiful oncid! I bought a 'sweet sugar' and it's barely hanging in there. I guess I should have gotten a full size one instead of a seedling, I'm so bad with the oncids. Wish I could get mine to look like yours!
