Very nice, Prem. Most photos I've seen of those look drab--they never quite catch the coloring.
Good luck with Frances--hope there's no damage....

The latest on Frances doesn't look too bad for our area (still staying a tropical storm)...we may be without power for a few days, however. Will post again when possible.
Gongora galeata just finished blooming its second spike. There are twelve more spikes due to follow over the next few weeks.

Frances blew by with just a little rain and a nice breeze....

Excellent blooms.
Good to hear you haven,t been "blown away".
oh, I should mention that these have a fragrance reminiscent of peaches and apricots...not as intense as some Gongora, though...you have to be a few inches away to smell the fragrance. My Gongora quinquenervis, OTOH, has a fragrance that can be smelled across the house.

Last I heard, this latest storm doesn't bode well for Florida--Prem, hope things will be ok for you there.... Floofy, you too...
Well, Ivan didn't do much damage here this far to the east of landfall...the winds did strip all the flowers off the present spike of my Gongora galeata....but there are 12 more spikes to go, so I'm not overly-worried.
