Fungal or Normal cycle?

Is this a normal yellowing of a phal leaf or has it something to do with a fungus? It had 5 leaves the bottom one turned yellow and fell off (a normal yellow colour as you would see with a normal phal cycling it's leaves); now a second leaf has gotten this yellow brown stuff?? Is it time to help it or is this still normal? I have not overwatered it but it might have been in the store. The roots look healthy, though I did cut off some dried roots.

The rest of the plant and the roots seem happy (what I can see).

I would say normal at this point. The bottom leaf looks like it is touching the humidity tray, so that might have caused it to look strange, I don't know.

I agree with Clint on this one. If it was something besides normal leaf drop, you would see it on something other than the lower leaf. Relax and breath easy. The upper leaves look quite nice and healthy.

The upper leaves did look healthy at the time but now. I had to amputate part of this guy's leaf and the top leave is starting to droop and develop the same kind of strange fungal looking bruises as the lower leaves were earlier. HELP, I don't want to kill this guy. The spike has yellowed rapidly so I got rid of it too. I really don't have a clue on this one. It's not too wet since I removed most of the sphag awaiting the arrival of my S/H pebble. Does anyone know how I can save this guy?

Ok...root problem?

Maybe tissue collapse that later gets a secondary fungal infection. I don't think the fungus is the cause of your problems, but maybe a symptom of root issues/tissue collapse.

Take it out of the pot...check the roots...remove all the spag. I'd just leave it bare root and humid until your s/h pellets arrive.

Don't mean to steal anyone's thunder, but these leaves have looked like this for some time. On the 1st, yes, the tip is sunburned and it got sunburned last year, too (lower cut leave). The other was attacked by some sucking critter and was fine following and then began yellowing but as you can see there is new growth and both are otherwise in reasonable shape....so is it the same or different? I just watch for conditions getting worse but for now just an observant owner.....

The leaves on your plant are turgid..so I'd just leave it alone and see what happens. The second set of pictures that Phyrex posted shows dehydration (see the orange peel skin on the newest leaf?)..roots..roots...roots..

No. I think warping might be genetics. The leaves of my P. violacea var. Borneo has thin warped leaves. What is the hybrid?

It's a Salu Peoker. I've pulled it out of the pot and checked the roots and there are many that are green but have a black section somewhere in the middle. Not sure if I should get rid of the complete root in this case?
