Mohsen, I think you need to get more plants so you can do some crosses .. (any excuse is good to get more orchids!).
Keep us posted on the progress of your self-pollination.

Hi... I selfed my only phal 3-4 times on different flowers... All withered within a day or two... Un-pollinated flowers are just fine... So... All of them withered except one... Petals are fading but the base of the bloom is just swelling and turning green as you see in the picture... Oh boy!... I wish I had another phal and cross-breeded them!... I've heard that selfing usually produces weaker plants... Anyway... I did it just because I had nothing to do with my plant ...
Sorry for the noise and low quality... My camera is hopefully dying!...

Looks like your phal is pregnant! Congratulations. Depending on the size and health of your plant, you may only want to let one of the pods mature. AND, I agree with Laurent - you need more plants!!
And again, congrats on the successful pollination of your phal.
Cheers,
BD
Thanks guys... I'm going to buy another one really soon... (as soon as I get my monthly salary!!! )... I hope I'd find a striped one... Those are rare here in Iran...
So... This is the maturing seed pod... I think its growing a little bit fast!... The stem is sturdy and nothing is turning soft or yellow... Hmmm... All the flowers have gone so fast... It's been a month since I bought the plant... I keep it near my Calatheas so the air around it is pretty humid... Perhaps environmental stress!... Just cant wait to see the plant in bloom again!...
So that is what a seed pod looks like. I've never bothered with crossing, i'm still working on not killing them!
Good luck!
Connie
Hi Mohsen Arooni
After that what is the next steps.
nice! mine is just starting to grow! thanks alot for the images. should i cut off any other blooms that are on the same spike as the pod so that more energy goes to it or should i just let it chill there?
Hi! I am new to this website, and delighted to see the pictures here, as I have that exactly at home and I look at it everyday and wonder what I should do next...!?
I crossed two phals that I had with flowers and got one pregnant flower on each. Would be very grateful if someone could tell me what I should do next! Although, I can hear my grandfather's voice saying that nature takes care of itself...
Both have buds as well, so I take it they are strong girls!
Thanks in advance!
