I have posted this Neostylis before, but thought I would share it again since it is in bloom and has such a wonderful fragrance this morning. I actually have two of these. This one, the blue variety, and another that is more pink. The pink one just finished blooming, so no new photos of it just yet. But, here is the blue one for you to enjoy.
Neostylis Lou Sneary (Neofinetia falcata x rhynchostylis coelestis)
The color seems a bit off in this first photo, but it is a good close-up. Looks like something damaged one of the petals though.
This is a shot from on the bench looking up through the blooms. I just stuck my Cannon Power Shot under the blooms and took a lucky shot.
And another attempt to get a brighter shot to show the color.
Finally a good shot with good color balance.
Cheers,
BD

Beautiful, I love that one .. Gin
I like the blue variety, very pretty in an understated way,
Yay blue!! Thanks for sharing, I wish I could sniff it!
Isn't it funny (or should I say frustrating) how flowers never look quite the same in pictures? Nice shots, though. I love the soft, pastel coloring of the Neo crosses.
