Usually leaves and roots (growth in general terms) can start to be seen in 3 - 4 weeks if the repotted plant is healthy and getting the proper nutrients. Good luck, Howard.

I recently finished repotting my phals...I know should have done this a month or so ago but lazy me! Anyway, I was wondering in my laziness, after repotting, have any of you found a lag time before new vegetive growth (leaves) begins? Once again I'm too lazy to search the board for the answer...and there may be no double-blind scientific answer...just wondering what some of you have found with your plants...and not only phals, other chids, too????

Yes. Basically repotting any orchid sets it back a bit (more or less). If you repot a vanda and break the roots...a long sulk is ahead. However, Paphs seems to spring to growth right after repotting. Depends, I guess.
