I love jungle tracking and water fall. While I was in Chamang, Bentong , Pahang the biggest state in West Malaysia I spot something unusual on the roof.Just to share an enjoy yourself.

cool..a geko???
That one would scare you to death, eh? When i'm out working with the plants my gecko's like to jump on my hands and give me a good shock. I cant imagine that one jumping my way!
Connie
wow... I kept looking at it thinking you were about to tell us you are a woodcarver, and I was thinking "why would he carve such a beautiful relief in such an out-of-the-way spot?" I can't make my eyes accept that that lizard is not part of the wood!
Very cool! Appears to be a Ptychozoon or "flying gecko" (though gliding or 'parachuting' is really more accurate). They have webbing between their toes that they use to glide from tree to tree.
I almost got one of these from a guy I knew but, alas, didn't have a tank for it.
That is a beautiful Gecko, he does look like he was carved from the wood.
We just got back from the east coast where they have curly tailed lizards. They are much bigger than our little lizards topping out at about 9", they curl their tails up on their back when they run.
Cin
Wow, Cin, those guys are huge!
