Something about the streaking on these leaves seems familiar to me. Is this Cymb. Mosaic Virus (potexvirus) and if so, is there anything short of destroying the plant that I can do?

Certainly could be fungal, but being that you live on the Gulf Coast and sun is usually plentiful...could it be sunburn? Don't know where you grow your cymbidiums....

You're both absolutely right. I had this baby out in the full sun and about 2 week ago moved it to a morning sun position. I bet that's what happened. At least I hope so. After your first post Clint I treated it with Physan, so we'll see what happens. Thank you both for your help.

The other thing about infectious processes whether in humans or plants....they STINK! and are ususally wet...sunburn is dry and crisp and doesn't smell foul.....
