A change of pace. You just can't kill these guyes!
Beauties! Who would want to kill these off? I have one plant similar to photo #3. When it gets a bit larger, I will divide it and put one half at one side of my stoop, the other half on the other side to balance the look.
These are glorious, particularly that last orangy one!! I really like them. I can't want to have a house someday where I can plant perennials like there's no tomorrow!!

You know their buds are good to eat? They taste like green beans. You can buy sacks of them in Chinese stores.
I've hear that the entire plant is edible, but I've never been brave enough. Chinese Hot and Sour soup has "Tiger Liliy" buds in it, guess what they are!
By the way # 3 is called Strawberry Candy and has become more available in the big box stores.
That top one looks like Tiger Lily. They grow wild all over New England roadsides. I've had the soup, it is good.
dip the buds in fritter batter and fry 'em up! Yum!
