Default Battery Orchids -- Laurent and Becky

Ok..my growing area..I know..I have a bad habit of over collecting. A couple of members were curious...and I thought you guys might be as well. So far, all genera but the dreaded vandas have bloomed...

My bunch of orchids are growing larger too. I'm waiting for my Vanda to bloom too.

This is nowhere near as bad as you made it sound it would be, Clint! I think that on the contrary, it's a clever use of the space in front of your window. It makes me realize I am way too conservative and cautious and I could have a lot more plants! As bunched up as it is , it looks pretty cohesive and from what I can see all the plants look very healthy. Very inspiring for another windowsill grower! Thanks for posting.

This is excellent Clint, thank you so much for taking this pic!! You really do have a lot of plants in there - how many would you say you have? Also, I was just wondering, do you have 2 or 4 fluorescent bulbs per shelf?

4 bulbs per shelf. two warm/two cool. I have 72 plants on this shelf (mostly miniatures) and another 10 at the office and 6 outside.

It's a real pain on watering day..I cart them to the porch and they get their turn under the hose only to be painstaingkly put back..oh what we go through for these plants
