Tequila sunrise colors--my favorite combination.
That's a well grown and beautiful catt!
(What is that plant in the tiny pot and looks like wheat grass?)

Pot. Rebecca's Delight 'Moonglow'
Another pretty one that opened up today...this one is my favorite so far of all my orchids - its my favorite colors of oranges, reds and yellows, and we share the same name!! Too cool!!!
It really reminds me of Slc. Jewel Box 'Dark Waters' in terms of its shape.
Why do these guys always have to open up right on top of each other? LOL...its like they are competing for attention

LOLOLOL....I knew someone would ask me about that
Its actually a tiny plastic pot of grass...we had it in NYC, I promised my husband that I could grow him a "lawn" in NYC, so I was growing grass on my windowsill. Now that we're in IL, I just can't really seem to part with it, so its sort-of a joke
What a beautiful plant and those blooms are fantastic. Spectacular!
(side question: what is the name of the little cactus on the right, I have the same exact one)
I have no idea what that cactus is, unfortunately..I bought it for my cactus-loving husband at a street fair in NYC
Hi Becky - you moved! LOL. That is a beauty of an orchid you have there. I love the color and shape!
Cheers,
BD
Yep! I'm almost officially back in Chicago...we're staying with my husband's parents in Woodstock IL until they finish preparing our rental apt in Chicago. I guess the previous tenants had a leaky aquarium and they ruined the wood flooring, so it needs to be replaced before we can move in, eek!
Good luck with the rest of the move! I have not been to Chicago since 1993. The Goodman Theatre and the Steppenwolf Theatre are both located in Chicago and they do amazing work. I am sure since you are from NYC that you probably had plenty of theatre, but Chicago has lots to offer too.
Now... back to that beautiful orange orchid...
Cheers,
BD
Oh yeah! Back to the orchid...wow! Very pretty! And if the form for Dark Waters is the same I'm going to love it.
Gotta say though, cute little lawn though. If your husband wants, I can take a digital picture of the lawn for him and you can print out a big poster...that way you won't have to water it as often. lol I'm lucky to have a nice yard, down here they aren't usually much bigger than what you had in the cup!
Good luck with the move...
