    Default Scottish Eggs

    flour the eggs
wrap each egg with sausage patty
roll the sausage covered egg in flour and place in the fridge for 30 minutes to an hour for the sausage to set up.
While waiting, pour a couple of fingers of a good single malt scotch, over ice and sit back and enjoy the wait.
take the eggs and dip in the beaten eggs and roll in the seasoned bread crumbs.
deep fry with oil at 375 for about 7 min. drain and place on paper toweling. I find that baking them in a 375 degree oven, with them on a rack, for 20 minutes works just as good.
Serve hot or cold. I like them with a spinach salad or as a finger food. If you have access to quail eggs, I bet you could make a great party appetizer of them.

Step 4 made me laugh out loud, Ron. LOL. Thanks for the appetizer.

Step 4 made me laugh out loud,
That step jumps out to me too, we don't need step 1-3

I have 2 swimmers that are always looking for something to eat. I will try it out on them.

my swimmer likes them as well! I am amazed how many calories my competitive swimmers consumes. Well, she practices 6 days a week and 2 of those days she has 2 practices.

Step 4 is my favorite one, LOL

    Ron,
I am glad that you have swimmer too. My two are boys. Everytime I start to complain about how much time swimming has exhausted us, I have to re-focus on the reason I let them swim: stay fit, AND they will never have time or energy to get into trouble.

On the other hand, I always view orchids as my "girls", sweet and pretty. The best part is that they don't talk back

Sound delicious, Ron. Can I substitue a bloody mary for the scotch or will that ruin the recipe? We are always looking for something different for breakfast and this fits the bill.

Bugger the eggs! Drink the single malt and send out for a pizza.
