I read a lot of threads about semi-hydro growing and thought I would try it for a new challange. The only plant I had was a piece of Phrag. Calurum that I had just divided.
This plant is in an 80mm disposable cup from the super market, the holes (3) are 25mm up from the bottom and the medium is straight Hydroton. I keep the water topped up all the time with a good flushing when I water the other plants. It just sits in the GH with everything else. It gets food with all others as well. This has been done over 12 months, I think. There was one root on the piece before potting.

Very healthy!
Cheers,

Look at all those roots now! I have mostly catts, and all but one are in semi-hydro. Some of them are doing VERY well and producing stupendous root growth, some of them are just sitting there, sulking.
Great Job!
Wonderful job Roy. Don't you love it when your chids exceed your expectations.
I agree with you Cindi - some of my catts are rockin' in S&H, and others are just kinda not doing too much...oh well
well done.
