There have been a couple of threads recently addressing the use of keiki hormones/chemicals. I use the lanolin based hormone KeikiGrow Plus and have had mixed results, so I thought I share some of my progress to date.
This one doesn't know whether to grow roots 1st or leaves....
This is another keiki growing on the same plant as above
This is a plant that has crown rot and I am soooo thrilled to see this attempt successful
In fact it is growing keikis even in places where no hormone was applied as you can see in the circled areas
wow that's inspiring. i will try that next year!!!
That is the craziest thing I've seen! I've never used keiki paste before, but I do want to experiment now that I've seen your results. Thanks for sharing!
I trust these pics will help. And, yes, I have applied it to catt eyes to get them to do more than just look pretty at the base of the pseudobulb!
Wow amazing Howard. A couple of years ago I heard about this hormone but cannot get in Malaysia. I like the way the keikis grow and can easily detach from the spike, how can I get this hormone Howard?
Zain, I guess you could go to the vendor's website and leave an email to see if they ship to Malaysia.
Thanks Howard I will try later.
