Tim, 1972 was a good year.....I graduated high school that year, LOL. So that makes me 18 years older. I don't think I have seen your pic before. How old were you in that bench picture?

My screen name started with AOL as well. I think I was in high school- must've been 9th or 10th grade. Like Becky, AOL suggested several numbers after my name, but I chose 8989 myself. I was obsessed with the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim at the time, especially Chad Kilger (8) and Paul Kariya (9).
Since I can't think of anything better, I never changed it. I probably should've used 9898 instead since I graduated hs in 98.

"Liz" is a combination of my middle (Lisa, the name I go by) and first name (Zhi). Since I work in geosicence world, I added "geo" to make it unique here.

Lambert is my last name ( I swear I am a very imaginative person otherwise!)

Tim, that's an adorable picture of you all curled up on that bench!

cherublace: cherub (why, don't know, i'm no angel - but figure all those angels are keeping their hands busy to stay angels), lace because i enjoy textile work (knit, crochet, rug hook, sew, quilt, needlepoint, crewel etc.)

Hey laurent, if you ever visit south africa, you must go to lamberts bay... that pic with the endless birds I posted on the camera thread was taken there on the bird island...

Anyway... my nick has nothing to do with anything arian... (I get that sometimes). It is more a play on letters in my name and also I love (loved) vikings and nordic mythology...
Like Bench72 my nick is also my original nick I have been using since my teens (I'm 3 years younger than him).

I think it shows character and quality of caracter if someone chooses the same nick despite the net's intrinsic anonimity... so 3 magic beans for you... its free of charge..

Getting a town named after you is still pretty cool... wonder if they'll give you the keys

Ron, I'd be around 20-21 in that pic... taken just after i moved back home to my folks place for three months after a travelling stint where i'd spent all my money

what also amazes me is how long the net has really been around
