Default Newest addi(c)tion to the orchid family

This is my newest orchid; a lovely green/white one too. My wife loves these so I was easily able to sneak it into the collection It's not fully open yet but I'll make sure to post an updated picture when it is.
The other picture is of whatever is in bloom now and my fighting fish 'El Guapo' (red) and 'Posh' (blue).

I like the blooming phals, myself. I see you are using 'dragon tears' in the bottom of your fish jars.

I bet it will be stunning! How about a close up of your fish? Maybe in the Fish and Amphibians section of the forums? Regardless, it is a great looking table display!

    Cheers,

When I brought the phals in from the store some buds blasted but they were still nice. Now the spikes seem to be reinvigorated and they have just shown me some new buds on the same spike (both of them) and one of them is even branching. I think I've finally found out how to keep this pretties alive.

RE the dragon tears; I think they are easier to keep clean and also look nicer than the standard coloured stones. It looks really pretty when the morning sunshine reflects off of them.

I'll make sure to post some pictures of the both of them when they finally decide to show off. I had them in different places of the apt before but they were kind of sad I think. Now they are regularly intimidating each other.

Years ago there was a store in my city that sold tropical fish. They had a row of Bettas in jars with opaque dividers between them. Periodically the owner would lift the dividers so the fish could see one another and *wow* did they flare up! Love to see some photos of yours in a similar state.

    Cheers,

    Rob
