Howard,I was excited to see the name of this Paph.I have one that is also named Double Deception. It must be different. Its a monster plant (Venustum'Blatant' x Sukhakulii 'Emerald'. It has not bloomed for me yet,the tag states that mine should be white/green/yellow/brown.Your bloomer is very nice. You are a very good grower. All the pictures you post are very nice.Great Job,Have Fun Rich
Very lovely Howard. Warts and all. I usually kill my Paphs. but this year I have a Paph Saiun in bud. I'm excited because this will be my first earned bloom on any Paph. Keeping my fingers crossed.
That is great! It looks like it is trying to give us a big hug!
Cheers,
BD
beuatiful!!! love the spots and stripes and how wide the sepals are!
strange name for beautiful shape and flower !
I, too, love the warty Paphs! And this one has lots of sukhakulii influence in it. Sukhakulii just might be my favourite species of Paph. Anyhow, I love this flower!
Rich, this isn't Double Deception--it's Double Deception crossed with Macabra Pie--so you have the parent Grex of this one.
Cheers,
Rob
