Need Help With Re My "Edit Options"

I was trying to send Brutal Dreamer a private message but it keeps saying I have turned it off and I need to go to my "Edit Options" and turn them on.I can't turn them on in fact could someone advise a general list of things I should check and advise a list of the ones I need not to check.I don't seem to understand what each one of the options means in layman terms. Thanks loads

LOL. Thanks. Though there are lots of 'Razorbacks' around here, I don't claim to be one of them. I do have many friends that enjoy the games.
