    Smile Dendrobium smilliae

Again another beautiful den from Papua New Guinea just opened 5 days ago, the pseudo bulb about one meter and the flower arise from the terminal node after the leaf dropped. No smell but secreted so much nectar until the ants refused to move from this flowers.

That green in the center of the bloom is so intense and saturate. That is really cool. The ants sure seem to love the nectar; it must be sweet!

    Cheers,

Beautiful, Zainal. With all the activity, will many the blossoms be fertilized and set seed pods? If so, what do you do? Joe
