    Default Cattleya Percivaliana var. Alba

My first Cattleya blooms. I am really happy to see that I can grow a Catt, I really like the blooms on this guy, there is something Laelia-ish about them.
They just opened, there are two other sheaths but I couldn't wait to take the pictures! (the "proud father syndrome", I guess ...) Enjoy!

That's one of my favorite Catt species, although you don't see the alba very often. It's aptly known as the Christmas Cattleya.

    Congrats and good growing, Laurent!

In late spring-summer outside, full sun and shaded sun.
Early fall-winter, inside in a southern window under LED lights.
The room my orchids are in has no heater so some swings between day and night temperatures.
    And a humidifier of course!
