Default Pretty Phals for the living room

About the time my phals stop blooming I go get a new one or two to add to the collection. After done blooming I put them on the porch, weather providing. Some live outside, some don't make it....and some even re-bloom for me once in awhile. I had went shopping for my step-son; he wanted to take a nice phalaenopsis home to his mother. So off I went to my favorite phalaenopsis vendor, (she only sells phals that look like they came from a flower store, they are perfect in every way). She was loaded with everything orchid this trip due to the coming holidays. For a change she even had a few onicidiums and cattleya types. I picked out a nice Dtps. Minho Princess for the present and a nice dark violet noid for myself. While the Minho is a beauty I wanted the noid due to it's overall health and the size of the flowers is just A-1, i've never seen a dark violet flower this huge before. I should have taken pictures of her shop this time. It was a burst of color everywhere. The back of the store is full of $5 phals that blasted their buds during a recent cold snap.
    Hope you enjoy these two....

I was in love with the minho as well...but mine came from the back of the store in the sale section. It'll be in bloom in a couple months. I also found a miniature cymbidium that should have white flowers if I get it to bloom. I sent this one to Shane's mom because it is a hardy type and especially a favorite of new collectors. I was hoping she'd like it enough to water it.... lol
