    Default Jungles of Mexico

I wanted to share these exceptional plants that I found in Kohunlich Mexico.
The first is Tradescantia spathacea which I found growing on the wall of a Mayan Ruin. This plant is commonly known as Moses-in-a- cradle or Moses-in-a-basket, Boatlilly or Oyster Plant It has three other botanical names: Rhoeo discolor, R. spathacea and Tradescantia discolor.

The next one is an aerial cactus of some sort growing on a Kohun Palm Tree. The Kohun palm produces a small nut which is used to make carvings of small animals.

So many beautiful things to see in our world and so little time!
    Thanks for looking.

Those are amazing photos! I love the Tradescantia spathacea. It looks so good growing on that wall of the ruin. I would love to visit the jungles of Mexico. I have only been lucky enough to visit some cost areas on both sides. It looks beautiful. Thanks for sharing your photos with us!

    Cheers,
    BD
