    For the record, I worked in a hydroponic greenhouse as a volunteer for almost a year. I know what hydroponic is but I don't know what semi-Hydro is!

    It's just single-pot hydroponics, done to avoid potential cross-contamination by plant pathogens that can happen when using a shared reservoir.
