Talking Enc. cordigera var. rosea *scent*

I got this as a rescue plant that had been sunburned. I removed most of the affected foliage and set it out with my other plants. Today I smelled it before a saw it...what a wonderful scent!

I am so pleased with this plant...its pseudobulbs are so round (I am a sucker for those fat pseudobulbs)! I even noticed a staghorn fern seedling trying to grow in there as well. I hope it does well in my collection.

    Absolutely stunning plant!
My enc.cordigera var. rosea bloomed first time in september 2008 with one spike with only four flowers the (the 5th dried unfortunately), and yours has plenty of them!
    Congratulations!

Definately looks like a cordigera of some kind...the largest pseudobulbs I have ever seen are on the cordigera types. Now whether its a regular, rosea, or alba is yet to be seen!

yours is a beauty! Mine is in spike for the first time, sure hope it looks as nice as yours
Wonderful...I can't wait to see pics of it.

Did yours have a nice scent? I have definately noticed this one does. I am hoping to see new growth on this one soon. Maybe the next pseudobulb will be ever bigger!!

I was poking around outside today looking for new growth on my orchids and found quite a few plants with lots of new shoots peeking out! I love springtime!

    Thanks everyone!

Yes, the scent was wonderful! It was something that I certainly knew before, like sort of perfume mixed with sweets, candies etc.I also noticed the scent was stronger in the mornings.

Beautiful plant and inflorescence! Good growing!

I have one too, but it is growing very slowly and no signs of flowering in the near future. Maybe I need to send it to your place for training
