I know this is an old survey but it still has legs......

I have found a couple of outstanding on-line sellers I buy from. (Feel free to PM me if you want to know the best one here in the US so far!) I also use the large auction site. I go to my local high end nursery and the local orchid nursery. And of course, my grocery store, who I blame for starting me down the road to addiction!

I would say I purchase most of mine online and at two shows I frequent each year. I just purchased two beasts on discount that are spectacular. I will PM you.

So I see a lot of orchid lovers order online; anyone willing to share their favorite place to order online. I have looked at several places and the photo's are amazing, and they offer orchids in spike, or soon to bloom. Anyone care to offer suggestions?

I live in the UK and collecting orchids if your taste in orchids extends paste the generic phals and other usual garden centre orchids is very limiting, also I find that many garden centers in the UK apart from not having much variety are also over priced for example i just saw a few generic looking purple flowered vanda's for £80 each in a vase! thats like $100 for a common vanda, so buying online is really the only option in the Uk if you want a real collection
