Default I know this is an old thread but wow

I have a passion for red phal so this thread is inspiring.

Thank you so much for sharing, I have a mystery red about to bloom.
I'll be looking for some help once I have a picture.

They're all beautiful! Breeders have developed many good red phals over the last few years. A lot of them are fragrant also. In the book 'Moth Orchids' the author has an interesting chapter on the evolution in the breeding of the modern red phalaenopsis. Phal. Sogo Rose is one of my favorites because it's such a strong grower.

Unfortuanatly Canada is a dead zone for most plant collectors. I wish I had more access to some of the more impressive phals available in the states.
My mystery red came a collector who only sells two tissue grown plants a year, I saw the flower for a moment but the flower faded before I could
document it. I believe it has violacea parentage but I will have to wait to verify.
