    Gilda, thank you!

Yes, it's fragrant in the sunlight, but not overpowering like some are.

Catt plants can look so ugly and goofy when they're not in bloom, but boy, when they are, there's just nothing prettier in my opinion. (Course, I may be biased....)

still wading through the archives...macrocatts were among the first orchids I was attracted to and, despite the fatal attraction to slippers, I still love a big catt and am trying to rebuild my collection. Got any backbulbs of some of those old historical clones, Louis? My current reclamation project is a Blc. Malworth 'Orchidglade' that had fallen into neglect...

Actually, quite a few. Norman's Bay 'Low's', that kind of thing. I really need to get a list together; from what I've seen, some of them have become quite the collector's item and I barely can remember what all we've got any more.

You were at Pine Crest? I didn't make it that far last time I headed down to Charlottesville. I got sidetracked for 2 hours at Floradise and ran out of time..... I keep meaning to check them out.

Ki, you should definitely go next time you're out that way. They've unfortunately had to cut back some due to health issues, but they're awesome growers. I never got a penny for my work, but the backbulbs and the knowledge I gained from them were worth their weight in gold....
