Thanks for the links, Laurent. I agree it does look similar to what Tony has posted.

    Cheers,

Thank you so much, I think the first link shows signs close enough to my symptoms to go with fungal theory... I have access to Banrot and subdue... I am going to give it a shot, thanks again-Tony

Update - the one phal I tested was actually positive for cymbidium mosaic virus. Could these fungal infections be opportunistic infections resulting from of viral infection? Who knows...I'm getting rid of all of these just to be safe.

I too am having very similar symptoms on one of my cattlyeas. There is no spotting on the undersides of the leaves, and the flowers are showing no symptoms, even after almost a month of being in bloom. The spots showed up very quickly and I thought at first that it was heat damage, but it never turned black like heat damage does.

I am not finding any virus symptoms like this in my AOS Orchid pests and diseases book or online until I found this post. Did you ever find out what it was? I think I am going to send a sample into a lab to have it tested because it doesn't seem to fit any of the other types of diseases.

Did you send a sample to a lab? What result did you get?
