2ND PHILIPPINE INTERNATIONAL FLORA & FAUNA GARDEN EXPO
PIFGEX 2009
Poster of the Event
“Protecting and Sustaining Nature”
EVENT THEME
With the clamor for a repeat of the highly successful 1ST Philippine International Flora & Fauna Garden Expo 2008, the Event Organizer, RPN Flora & Fauna, Inc. and its appointed Event Manager, ICE INC., are now spearheading a bigger and more comprehensive 2ND Philippine International Flora & Fauna Garden Expo (PIFGEX 2009) with the theme – “Protecting and Sustaining Nature,” this coming July 16-19, 2009 at the World Trade Center Metro Manila, Pasay City.
The Exposition, Trade Show and Conference will now be a 4-day event with more than 150 booths for exhibits, displays and commercial retailing, in-door landscaping exhibits, 2 activity areas for daily lectures, demos, workshops, product launches and flower competitions and other daily contests.
The aim of the Exposition is not only to showcase and exhibit our Philippine plants and animals to the world, their uses, their conservation status, nor the protection of their habitat, preservation of our environment and our ecology system . . . . . . but more importantly, its about saving our one and only Planet Earth. The Philippines is one of the richest ecosystem in the world, both in marine and terrestrial, and sad to say, we are also a biodiversity hotspot as both plants and animals are threatened as natural habitat are destroyed by modernization.
The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) as co-presentor of the event will showcase the endemic and endangered species of plants and animals of the 16 regions of the Philippines. Each region will be represented by its own pavilion.
