    Default Light Set-ups

The first is my set-up for my smaller growing orchids. It's actually an iron aquarium stand for a 55 gallon tank. It's 4' long and at is lit with 4 T5's. It's behind the couch and acts a consule table. The second is my very ugly floor lamp that I just added to supplement my normally good natural light. The weather here has been horrible with nothing but clouds and rain so extra light was really needed this year!

Nice setup! I gave away my salt water tank setup years ago. I wish I had kept it now for orchids.

Brilliant setups. The aquarium hobby certainly lends itself to orchid growing. You've also given me a couple of ideas for my growspace.

When we kept the aquarium on the stand it actually contained our snakes. They have since moved up to better housing so the tank went to the trash and the stand moved on to a much better use.

    Very good setup.
I am in the same situation, I upped my supplemental lighting because we have barely any sun this month so far and it rains way too much to put the orchids outside ....

Looks fantastic and your orchids seem very happy there, We just gave a large 4ft tank and stand away, I wanted it for miniature orchids after we stopped using it for our tropical fish, but, we do not have room for such a large piece of furniture if I want to keep my nans antique bookcase, this time the bookcase won
