I'd say "fascinator" is the perfect name for this flower. What an interesting bloom; and your pictures of it are very good. Something kind of insect like about it....

OMG that is so cool! Is that color accurate? AMAZING!
Cheers,

The top part is really pretty, with that purple fringe; the bottom part is interesting . Does it have any scent?
That is stunning!, If I see one of these for sale I will be grabbing one its beautiful! Please dont tell me its a carrion smelling one LOL
that is stunning i love it.
wow, very nice shots, love the closeup's!
i can see some alien like monster with fangs, thats fantastic!
I'm loving the purple fringing. Of course, as a photographer, we generally don't want to see purple fringing, but in this case, it's quite okay!!
Thanks everybody!
It is fairly accurate but maybe a touch less blue in real life. Pic #2 is the closest. It depends on the light too.
It has a very faint sent of carion but I have to shove my nose in it.
It is very animated in a breeze, reminds me of a fishing lure. All the fringe flutters and the tongue is articulated.
I see a robot or tribal guy with a little head and a big hood in pic #4 and a lion with two fangs and a huge tongue in the last (lol!).
100mm macro at F22 (aperature priority on a tripod) and natural light from a NE window.
PM me if you want the vendor, they are a good one.
I have never seen this one before! It's fantastic!!! Love it!
