Hey Dan, That's really lovely. Does it have a fragrance? Good job blooming her.
ischel1,
You would think because of the beautiful blooms it would fill a room...It does not. The fragrance of this orchid is very faint. A few years back I had a Lc. Skinneri alba that only product one single bloom every time. While in bloom I could smell that flower upon opening the door to my home. I do like this orchid. The flowers are great!!
Dan
Delicate and very pretty, well done!
Dan, that is so nice and delicate. I thought it would be fragrant too. I guess a light fragrance is better than nothing.
Cheers,
BD
Hello BD,
Your right, little is better than none. The awsome blooms make up for the lack of fragrance....Raining here in Indy...plants are loving it....Dan
all that colour in the middle of the flower certainly makes up for the delicate scent...
it's funny, the colour combo reminds me of the Nobile Dendro's too.
btw, it's raining here in Syd, Oz too but the plants aren't loving it... cold and wet = not a good combo!
Had to work today...just sit down to read...The colors a very vivid bench72. I also had an un-named plant flower yesterday..not an orchid but very very nice...I will post it. The colors and fragrance are top notch..Last year this plant did squat...Nothing..I gave it some worm tea..and..superthive..and WoW...what a show it made this year...I am new so I will have to start another thread.. Dan
i'm a great believer in Worm Tea... I think there is a thread about that somewhere too..
as for the new flowering, looking forward to seeing it on it's own thread... probably on the Land Plants - Eye Candy section of Orchidtalk.
