For those of you who don't know or haven't heard, Mozilla (the original Netscape company) has come out with a new web browser, Mozilla Firefox. They've also developed a new email client, Mozilla Thunderbird. Given the security and privacy holes that are rampant in IE and Outlook, the switch is well worth the negligible download time. Both apps are free and open source, which means that *lots* of people all over the world have viewed the code and fixed any bugs or holes, and versions are available for Windows, Mac, and Linux in a ton of languages. Those are the only applications we use here for mail and browsing, and I'm encouraging everyone to try them out.

You can get both Firefox and Thunderbird at the Mozilla.org website.
