Hi thanks for taking the time to read this.
Still being relatively new to orchids I have some basic questions about fertiliser I have read a lot online about fert and seem to get more and more confused. My main question is when should I feed bloom formula and when should I feed growth formula, I have two orchids in spike at the moment so I guess they get bloom fert but when should I start with bloom fert surely now is a little late, Also my Thunia alba is growing a new cane which should flower when its full size so its growing and leading to flowering in a shortish time span, I have a real mix of orchids and I am guessing their feeding regimes will be different but wondered if there was a general rule as to what to use when.
Thanks In advance for any advice you can give me.

Carrie, I am not old yet, but I seem to forget things more than I was a few years ago...LOL Fertilizer is one of them... From what I know you should use fertilizer once a week and mix it with bloom formula every other week spring through fall. Some plants enjoy food during the winter also.
Thats great so using a growth food on a plant when its wanting to bloom wont harm it, I was worried it would go into growth mode and abort the flower spike. I will try alternating the feeds and see how I get along. Thanks so much for your help and I will water without feed regually to avoid salt build up.
