    Default raspberry colored Epipactis helleborine

    Took this pic today at my lake house. As the flower ages on this form they become more raspberry colored

    yes a European terrestrial that was introduced near Rochester, NY and has spread fairly far and wide

    That is beautiful, the colour is lovely. I am starting to go green around the gills, I love the sound of your garden.

    Wow, even prettier than the other one. I like the color. I sure am going to be disappointed if I don't see any Epipactis this weekend! I will just have to keep hiking until I do.

    Do they generally grow near water?

    None of these are things that I planted. At home, I have rich, moist, woodlands and have many beautiful natural ferns and flowering native species. The lake cottage is nestled in mixed hardwood and Hemlock woodland setting.
